Amadhila delivers exceptional brand experiences

Over the years, Gabriel Amadhila was fortunate enough to work with world-class creative directors, art directors, copywriters, videographers, strategists, brand managers and account executives.

During ten years of creativity, Gabriel Amadhila, the creative director at Publicis Namibia, painted the first stroke when he joined the legendary Adforce Namibia advertising agency in 2008 as a junior art director in training straight after university.

Adforce went on to join DDB, a worldwide marketing communications network.

During the DDB phase, and under the creative watch of Femi Kayode, Laolu Obende, Reinhold Appollus, and Twamona Hilukilwa, Amadhila, was promoted to senior art director.

“As time progressed, Adforce grew into an even greater influence on everything creative, and we joined the Publicis Groupe Africa. I further climbed up the ladder to become the associate creative director for Publicis Namibia. I strolled comfortably into the opportunity to shape prominent brands such as Telecom Namibia, NamPost, Club Shandy, Vigo, Cran, Nedbank, SME Bank, FreeYourMind CC, the Seaflower Group of Companies and TN Mobile,” he says.

Amadhila is responsible for conducting research to develop the creative vision and conceptual design of brand experiences.

“I try to understand the market the brand the owner is attempting to reach, to define and craft the character, personality and voice of brands,” he adds.

The challenges he faces is raising awareness for conceptual strategic executions.

“We still have large portion of society that doesn’t understand the power of brands and branding. You will find organisation brand managers who believe that the best creative solutions only exist outside this land of wide-open spaces,” he says.

“I wish that Namibia reinvests in creative businesses; we want to take the next step in our creative development and this requires that all parts of the country’s creative guild work together,” Gabriel Amadhila, creative director.

Over the years, Amadhila was fortunate enough to work with world-class creative directors, art directors, copywriters, videographers, strategists, brand managers and account executives.

He has been exposed to opportunities that he never thought he would experience.

“I travelled the world and helped win pitches, and I helped launch brands,” he adds.

“It’s really important for one to really understand and know who you are and what you are passionate about. Discover and develop your talent, and success will always follow passion no matter what.”

Amadhila completed his high schooling at Jan Jonker Afrikaner Secondary School and obtained his bachelor’s degree from Unam, majoring in art for advertising.

He also acquired an art directors’ certificate from the École supérieure des beaux-arts de Marseille in France.
