Schuerrle completes Chelsea move
Germany forward Andre Schuerrle has completed his move to Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year deal, becoming Jose Mourinho's first signing since returning to the English Premier League club.
The clubs agreed to the deal on June 13 but Schuerrle still needed to sort out personal terms and pass a medical examination.
Real Madrid appoint Ancelotti as coach
Carlo Ancelotti has been appointed as the new coach of Real Madrid on a three-year deal, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
"Carlo Ancelotti will be the coach of Real Madrid next season," said a statement on the club's website.
Ancelotti was formally presented to the media yesterday afternoon.
Tevez set to join Juventus
Argentinean international striker Carlos Tevez looks poised to end his roller coaster stay at English Premier League side Manchester City by joining Italian champions Juventus, the Press Association reported on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old, who joined City from bitter Manchester rivals United in 2009, was due to undergo a medical yesterday, although he has yet to agree personal terms on a deal which could cost the Turin club up to £13.5million (N$ 208.7 million).
Blanc takes over PSG reigns
Paris St Germain named Laurent Blanc as coach on a two-year contract on Tuesday, ending weeks of speculation over who would succeed Carlo Ancelotti.
The 47-year-old Blanc, out of a job since departing as France coach after their Euro 2012 quarter-final exit, led Girondins Bordeaux to the French title in 2009.
Mignolet signs for Liverpool
Belgian international goalkeeper Simon Mignolet became English Premier League side Liverpool's fourth signing of the close season on Tuesday when he moved from Sunderland for £9 million (N$139.2 million).
The 25-year-old, who signed a long-term contract, joins Manchester City's veteran defender Kolo Toure, Sevilla's Luis Alberto and Celta Vigo's Iago Aspas as manager Brendan Rodgers' new recruits since a disappointing season saw them fail to qualify for Europe in finishing seventh and without a trophy.
