Face-off ahead of fight
Namibian Walter 'The Executioner' Kaudondokwa and Billi Godoy of Argentina faced off yesterday in Post Street Mall ahead of their fight taking place next week at the Ramatex complex.
The two boxers will take centre stage in 'The Legacy Fight' which will honour Namibia's two former presidents as well as current head of state Hage Geingob.
Godoy confidently said that he would beat Kautondokwa when they clash in a middleweight WBO Africa title fight at Ramatex.
The Argentinean said this through trainer Patricio Retondero, who translated for him.
The 32-year-old Namibian was unfazed by the threats and said many other challengers had come and left bruised.
He is unbeaten after 16 fights, with 15 knockouts and is yet to face an opponent of his calibre.
Godoy is more experienced, with a record of 36 wins, 17 knockouts and four defeats.
The action starts at 19:00. VIP tickets sell for N$500 and general tickets for N$50.
