Busy year ahead for AR
Amupanda lamented the fact that some AR activists have slacked in advancing progressive public discourse. According to him, pedestrian analysis and weak logic dominates public discourse, including matters in which the AR has a strategic interest.

Affirmative Repositioning (AR) leader Job Amupanda last week announced that they will immediately start operating and commence mobilising for their Revolutionary Union (RU), despite its application not yet being approved by the labour commissioner’s office.
Speaking at a briefing last Thursday, Amupanda said they have begun the groundwork for the Progressive Judiciary (PJ), which will monitor the activities of the Office of the Judiciary and prevent it from being “captured by corrupt elite”.
“[The] PJ will be characterised by - amongst others - making information on the judiciary available to the masses of our people in an accessible manner. It will also lead and facilitate public discourse on the content, character and happenings within the judiciary,” he said.
The movement has also released membership forms as well as its draft constitution for study and analysis by potential and existing members.
AR activists will distribute and coordinate form completion in their towns or their respective regions and are required to be part of a community which is proven by presenting a minimum of 100 members.
Amupanda added all membership applications must be supported and signed by two AR activists who are already members.
Slacking
“The year 2021 will be dedicated to the establishment of the AR communities only. Other structures beyond the community will be established after 2021. This process must take place between April and 31 July 2021,” he said.
Amupanda lamented the fact that some AR activists have slacked in advancing progressive public discourse.
According to him, pedestrian analysis and weak logic dominates public discourse, including matters in which the AR has a strategic interest.
“Worse, cheap propagandists have since been purchased by the regime to wage a disinformation war against our movement. All AR activists are, therefore, called to ascend to the stage and provide superior logic, convincing perspectives, informed analysis and articulate clear positions in public discourse.
“We have always been at the forefront of information and inspiration to the masses of our people. We cannot allow charlatans to posture in public discourse uncontested. Although we have been doing well, we must still remain on course and not slack in this second site of struggle,” he said.
