Being back and playing tennis is awesome. With the pandemic happening, we have all been at home, but coming out and playing sports is exciting. Not only am I excited, but I know I can now keep active doing something I like. I look forward to playing many games this season and gaining more skills.

During the lockdown and when sports was on hold, I practiced a lot at home. I am glad to be back on the court. Not only have I learnt a lot, I’ve gotten better every single season, thus I look forward to having many great opportunities this season and just having fun.

Hayley Kidd

I’m so happy that tennis is back. I don’t think there is a better feeling than working hard just to be able to play and get amazing results. The feeling is unreal. I really looked forward to being able to be active in something I enjoy.

Santie van der Walt

During the lockdown, I played tennis by hitting the ball at the wall and that was not much fun because when you hit the ball, it just comes back hard. But now it is great to be back and compete against others while learning a thing or two.

I am looking forward to playing a lot of games this season and I am glad to be back. There is something about being on the court that makes me feel free and at that time, I know I am keeping active while also having fun.

I am grateful that the games are back because not only do I get to play, but I can work on being a better tennis player. This season, I feel like winning and being a champion as well as making myself proud.
