The firm is a general law practice. Their main areas of practice are criminal defence, labour law, commercial litigation, corporate governance, administrative law, mining law, police brutality, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, medical malpractice and immigration law.

The best interests at heart

The company aims to provide the best legal services to its clients and to improve the wellbeing and lives of all the people who approach them for help.

“We aim to grow into one of the leading law firms in the country, by giving our clients value for their money through ensuring that their rights and interests are protected to the full extent of the law,” says Nambili Mhata.

Apart from growing Nambili Mhata Legal Practitioners into a leading law firm, the owner, Nambili Mhata, also has the community at heart. The legal practice has shown their interest in the community by demonstrating support to the People’s Litigation Centre, a social justice litigation organisation.

The company also has a set criterion for its employees in order to ensure it only gets the best personnel. According to Nambili Mhata, they look for an employee who is dedicated, hardworking, eager to learn and has respect for other people.

After completing his studies at the University of Namibia in 2014, Nambili joined Sisa Namandje & Co. Inc in February 2015. After working for Sisa Namandje & Co. Inc., for 6 years he opened Nambili Mhata Legal Practitioners in March 2021. Nambili’s story is one of determination, resilience and faith.

“Believe in yourself and have a vision of where you want to be and then keep working on yourself to get better and better. Do not stop working on yourself. The progress may be slow, but there will be progress. Also, if you believe in God, do not forget to listen to God’s divine intervention in your life,” Nambili states. Although he hardly watches TV lately apart from football, he said he follows the series Suits and found it interesting as he relates a lot to what happens in Suits to his daily life as a lawyer.
