Lui Heavenly Touch Spa opens at Walvis Bay

Taking a spa day is often encouraged, not just because of its relaxation benefits, but also because there are several skin and health benefits associated with it.

With a lot of people in the workforce experiencing fatigue this time of the year, tjil spoke to the owner of Lui Heavenly Touch Spa, Luise Ndapandula Nghiwete, on the spa business and the benefits that comes with it.

She said her spa initially opened in 2017. At the time, it was operating in the northern part of Namibia but closed down in 2019 because of a lack of funds. Fast forward to 2021, Nghiwete has reopened her business at Walvis Bay, where she is operating from her two-bedroom flat at Ongulubashe Circle.

She said business has been booming at the new location. She attributes the improvement to the new environment and emphasises that when you step in her facility, the focus is on holistic well-being, restoration and calm.


On the treatments she offers, Nghiwete said she does waxing and facials. “We also do massages for pregnant women and also massage to relax the muscles and to reduce or minimise insomnia,” she said, adding that the spa also offers “full body scrubs to remove dead skin from the body”.

The spa also boasts a variety of products, each specifically formulated to target a specific skincare concern.

“We sell a home-made scrub for the body to remove dead skin and for the bikini area, to reduce ingrown hair and improve pigmentation,” Nghiwete shared.

“We also do home calls for clients who want to do treatments in the comfort of their homes,” she added.
