ECN laptops 'disappear'

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has opened a case with the police, after laptops disappeared from their head office. The ECN said in a statement that it understands the sensitivity and urgency of the "unfortunate" incident and undertakes to keep the public informed of any further developments. The commission also gave the assurance that no breach of data security has been committed as a result of the missing laptops.
