Minor drowns at Onethika
Three-year-old Temus Panduleni Nadhipite Ikela drowned after falling into a dam at Onethika in the Ontananga area of the Oshikoto Region.
Oshikoto police commissioner Armas Shivute said the toddler was found floating in the water by his stepmother around 11:00 on Sunday.
"It is alleged that the deceased was left home alone by older boys who went to the nearby house, while the parents left for the shops at the time of the incident," he said.
Shivute said the toddler followed the older boys from a distance without them noticing him and he fell into the dam and drowned.
