A Smart covered in glitzy ‘disco-ball’ look
Posted on Thu, 24 Mar, 2011
Berlin - An electric Smart covered in a glitzy ‘disco-ball’ look with reflective glass tiles from the roof to the hub caps has been revealed as a one-off project in Berlin.
The project was conceived by the experimental artist formation ‘Apparatjik’ to be used in a film titled ‘Pixel City,’ realized for their current installation at the New National Gallery in Berlin. The Smart is part of an interactive installation which collects data to be turned into a piece of music.
The song will be performed by the German Chamber Orchestra, accompanied by a spectacular image show titled ‘Apparat TV.’ The projections will be streamed out of a six-metre-tall cube into the city through the museum’s glass walls.
