Tick tock
NUST FM recently learned, through GISHWHES, who obtained their information from National Geographic, that we will all have one extra second at the end of this year.
One second is a blink of an eye, something so small that it never registers. What if it was your last second? What would you do with your very last second?
I could laugh, I could cry? I could be angry or just calm and quiet? All of these can be done in an extra second of time.
Participating in GISHWHES does slightly change your perception of the world and so many NUST FM team members say the same thing. An extra second becomes invaluable when it stands between you and something else.
With my extra second, I want to look upon the faces of my family. See my mom's smile, laugh at my sister’s freckles and kiss my niece's cheeks. Can't do all three in one second, I hear you say. We'll you can because I did. I took one second and did just that.
There are many places I want to go and many amazing things I would like to do and see. At the end of all that, I come home in between all that, my family is my north star. That precious second is for the most precious of things...family. Family that has been there for the most seconds of your life, to date. That will be there for more seconds to come.
The question then for you is; what would you do with your extra second?
