Smart doesn’t rule

Dorcas Mhungu
I truly believe that in life one gets what comes their way as a result of their doing. Take for instance someone that studies every day.
They are bound to pass their subjects with flying colours. Take a person that drinks day and night uncontrollably, they will obviously become drunkards in society and yea we all know the direction they go.
But my question is what happens to the people that sort of seem to know it all? My word! those guys are something else. Everything with them is arguable regardless of it having value or not. The worst is being stuck with these guys for a good 20 minutes.
I swear your minds will fall out. I mean I like having a good argument sometimes. It’s good to challenge yourself intellectually here and there. But with these guys, it’s mostly “facts” about them and when you try to cut in you get a finger wagging in your face! Haibo, do you also know who I am? You see why I get worked up by these people? So then how do you deal with them? I’ve tried the nodding only and answering with facial expressions but alas! They just put more fuel to the fire.
I would walk away but that’s plain rude. Pretending to be busy on the phone trick also doesn’t work anymore.
But you know when you have a problem, daddy Google is there to help you. He always knows everything unlike Facebook who just wants to know what’s on your mind every time. The first suggestion that popped up is for one to act all concerned and not like I also didn’t have opinions to share.
I was simply making her believe that she was smart enough and they are doing enough. Lol this shuts the very apparent smart person down line, maybe because it was new that I could just jump in the conversation was little surprisingly new. It just worked.
Once again Google proved to be there for everyone and is a problem solver. Being up front and straight forward also works. But that depends on your strength to flee the scene immediately because the volcano that will erupt in your life after that is going to be very hot.
