Namibia to sell 49% stake in Kudu

WINDHOEK STAFF REPORTER In a bid to rise more than N$10 billion it requires to fulfil its Cabinet-sanctioned participation in the Kudu Gas project, Nampower has decided to sell 49% of its downstream stake in the much-hyped energy scheme. This was confirmed by Mines and Energy Minister Isak Katali, who yesterday admitted that differences between NamPower and his ministry over the project, is now a thing of the past. Business and financial market site Bloomberg quoted NamPower officials confirming a decision to sell a substantial stake to interested and capacitated parties.
