Sunnyboy focuses on Business and Pleasure
Not only is the man back on the shelves to “prove a point”, he is turning around his game to place more focus on the business side of his career, rather than just entertaining the pleasure that comes with it.
tjil! caught up with the man to talk about his new album.
“Pleasure is a natural part of the entertainment industry, and I think I have embraced that too much in my career so far. This time around I am determined to place more focus on the business side,” said Sunnyboy about the title of his new album Business and Pleasure.
“I have to be more serious in terms of making a living of my career. Making money out of what I love doing will be a great part of my strategy ahead. I am out to prove a point,” said Sunnyboy.
This will be album number four for Sunnyboy, real name Panduleni Shipushu, who started his music career about eight years ago when he released his first album.
Album number three, The Sleeping Giant, launched three years ago, delivered at least two popular hits - Heat it up and See you haters featuring Jericho.
Sunnyboy told tjil! this album did very well. “This album brought me many performances and created a strong name for me.”
Business and Pleasure, he says, is a more focused album - with 18 tracks. “It delivers more straight talk, and I hold nothing back.”
Describing his genre as Hikwa, a fusion of Hip-hop and Kwaito, Sunnyboy promises outstanding quality and lyrics that are to the point.
Producers like Elvo Diergaardt, Arafat, K-Boz and new face on the block Young T contributed to the album the man plans to drop on March 13.
One of the tracks on the album, For December, has already been released in December last year, and another is to be released next week.
The Dogg, Tate Buti, Mahedek nu Kadett and Chipo are but some of the artists featuring on this one.
Business and Pleasure will officially be launched at the end of March, but will, as said, be available from March 13.
