Last Sunday, Chesster Records and Friends threw a ‘Fun day Sunday’ for kids and their parents at the popular car wash next to Fountain in Soweto.

The mastermind behind it all – Sweet Damara DikDing – set up a jumping castle and face painting for the kids including performances by his good friends Jericho (who was there with his new lady, but that’s another story), Dixon and himself.

The parents sat behind their shades and redeemed their babalas by buying out the little bar in the back – empty.

Then they were served with a warm poitjie after the sunset. Namibians want to see more of this type of attitude from artists instead of the negativity so many of them are spreading.
