Namibia by nite

Otjikaendu Den also known as Melba’s place is a unique spot to experience a fusion of exotic flavours from different Namibian cuisines. It is situated at the corner of Ceaser and Antiochie street in Luxury Hill Katutura.

A cosy restaurant/ bar, it is popular with both locals and tourists alike. For those looking for a touch of the exotic the Den serves indigenous cuisine in the form of Otjiuru (goat head), Onjama (fresh meat), Ohauhu (fine meat) Oruhere (pap), Ozongahera (dry meat) and Omboroto yoThjiherero (Otjiherero bread) among others.

Melba Tjahere, the owner, says they serve a buffet and the menu also includes roasted and grilled chicken. “Vegetarians are also catered for as we also serve salads. We cater for individuals and groups of up to 80 people.”

Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed in a relaxed and friendly environment inside or outside in the courtyard. Pre-booking for a group of people at least a day in advance is essential.
