HALO NORTH

Yesterday morning, around 11h00, residents of the North looked up in the sky and saw a mysterious ‘rainbow’ around the sun, also referred to as a ‘halo’. Comments on social networks, which followed shortly after the occurrence, had bloggers speculating its meaning. The more superstitious insisted it was a sign of the end of the world, while others said it was ‘God sending all of us festive greetings’. ‘Halos’ are sometimes called ‘sun dogs’ or ‘phantom sun’.
